1、 Firstly, we need to determine the dimensions of the packaging box before designing it. When determining the size of the packaging box, it is important to consider the material used after printing, such as the thickness of the box paper. Because most boxes are made of corrugated and non corrugated paper, corrugated paper is commonly used with E-tiles, while non corrugated paper is relatively thicker. So before designing, we need to determine the material and thickness of the paper, so that we can scale the size. Don't wait until the designed size, which may cause the paper to become thick and affect the ability of the item to fit in.

2、 Packaging boxes are also products in the printing category, and we need to design and layout them in vector software.

3、 If the shape of the packaging box is quite special, then we must draw the knife lines and group all the knife lines together, because all printing factories make knife molds according to the knife lines.

4、 Therefore, when designing packaging boxes, after drawing the knife lines, we usually print them out in a 1:1 ratio, simply fold the box, and check whether the size and structure between the box cover, ears, and so on are reasonable.

5、 The products designed for packaging boxes are already printed, so the images and graphics we use must be printed in CMYK (four-color printing) colors. Because the clarity of the image must be higher than 300 points, otherwise the printed product may be blurry.

6、 The designed packaging box usually includes the following information: product image, brand trademark, product name, a general introduction to the product's purpose, product barcode, and a general introduction to the manufacturer.
